Prison Journalism Project

I became an editorial intern in September of 2022. In January, I was kept on as an editorial assistant until August 2023 when my program was complete. Here's a bit I've done in that time:

Author Bios

I assisted in a deep clean of the writer's bios, making sure they were polished, professional and full of journalistic integrity.

Story Ideas

I assisted the editorial team in brainstorming ideas that our writers could expand on. For example, prison holidays stories such as this. 

SEO

I worked with other SEO experts to brainstorm ways to change our keywords, meta descriptions and SEO titles to gain more traffic online.
